For this look, I experimented with studs and maintained femininity at the same time. Lately, I have been obsessed with studs and spikes because they make you feel "tough" whenever you match it with minimal style clothing. I know, having a different perspective in wardrobe would look deviant to others, but the truth is, standing out is better than blending in :)

FOSTER THE PEOPLE: LIVE IN MANILA 2012

Last Saturday, October 6, I was able to watch Foster The People's debut concert in Manila. I rarely write an event review but this was a very distinct one and it completely exceeded my expectations! Fan girl right here. I firstly discovered Foster The People in a music festival lineup and got curious about their music. After downloading their album entitled, Torches, I instantly fell inlove with their tracks and swore myself that I have to see them LIVE and Glory to GOD it happened ;) Regarding their music genre, which is Indie, I have observed that it is still deviant and unknown to others because unfortunately, mainstream tracks are more appealing. I couldn't agree more though and I respect that. Moreover, I believe that Indie bands should also be given equal opportunity to rise for they make real music minus profanity.  Hmm If I do belong to a higher position in the music industry, I would definitely promote our  homegrown Indie artists :) I remember when I purchased my tickets for this event, an inquisition provoked my family. I was bombarded by these questions: "Who are they? Are they famous?" "Why do you have to watch them anyway?" LOL and so on. Despite of their non-stop bombardment, I headed to their concert and proved them wrong! And now they finally understand my obsession about their music :)  My Apologies for the poor quality of these photos. I planned to savour each moment,  I left my camera behind and relied on my Blackberry instead :)

Photo by John Dee Uy    - I loved how genuine he is when he uttered those words. Mark Foster told the crowd that his father and grandfather both lived in the Philippines and he is the third-generation FOSTER to visit the country. He even said, "You guys got Pacquiao". :)

I honestly forgot about the setlist so I would not be able to tell their songs chronologically that night :( I guess I really savoured each moment which resulted into a memory gap, HAHA.

See the gigantic inflatable behind him? It freaked me out when it was being prepared for "Pumped Up Kicks" performance. But they looked cute though! Haha I highly appreciated their eclectic setup and props! :)

"And in that moment I swear we were infinite" - (Charlie, Perks Of Being A Wallflower) corny but yeah, when Mark approached our Section, it reminded me of Charlie's line from Perks. He is so goodlooking and his blue eyes are tantalizing.

The lovely sisters: Aunt Daisy & Mum. - Unfortunately, my brother was not able to come with me so I dragged my aunt instead for the Indie experience. Bagets ang peg ni tita! Haha while my mum decided to roam the mall and had a cup of coffee because according to her, Indie is not her thing.

Here I am looking all feminine for a Indie/Hipster night. I chose to repeat this outfit from an entry called, "Peachy Keen" for I believed that aztec prints and peach color would give me a "hipster" vibe. I guess I was out of sync. The teenagers pumped their kicks, while I rocked my heels. Haha never again! But it was all worth it though. ;) Seriously, it was one of the wildest nights of my life (in a good-influenced aspect) and it left me on a natural high. I also think that I shed some weight from 2-hour of non-stop singing and dancing. xxx

KINGDOM OF CAMBODIA 2007

Since the hashtag "Throwback" is rapidly spreading on Instagram,  I got inspired to take a break from the present and revisit these ancient photos for a while. Regarding the trip, our parents requested us to skip classes because they did not want us to be left behind. (Aww they are good-influenced and such a loving folks at the same time haha). About our itinerary, our first location was in SIEM REAP but my apologies, I could not remember them all in exact, but I will try to elaborate the following images:

In the temple of TA PROHM, we have witnessed one of the oldest trees in the world. And according to our guide, this location was featured in the film, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

During our morning river cruise, these children put a smile on my face. I was uncertain whether they were on their way to school or errands but if this is their daily mode of transportation Grabe, If I were their teacher I would definitely give them an A FOR EFFORT and DETERMINATION! :)

I know our Cambodian tour was short and quick, but I have made some realizations. The next time I visit Cambodia (if it's GOD's Will) I swear to pack more lightweight clothes, avoid layering when it's humid and roam around the Angkor Wat temple. :) xxx
